Cut to accommodate profile fit insulation: J58, J68, V68, J78… Stotz® EtaProof™ High-Density Cotton [ AKA Ventile® ]. A technology originally developed for WWII Hurricane pilot’s Immersion Suits; Stotz® EtaProof™ fabric performs today in demanding environments ranging from military to industrial. Meticulously constructed from select long staple cotton and woven into a maximum density structure, EtaProof™ is then dyed and DWR-treated. The resulting fabric has excellent Lightshell properties (weather resistance balanced with superior breathability and wearing comfort), as well as being exceptionally mechanically resistant and easy to maintain. Polartec® Alpha® was originally developed for the U.S. Special Forces when they required a more advanced insulating material in their combat uniforms. This fabric is a new technology with active insulation that regulates core body temperatures during both dynamic and static activities. This latest advancement in adaptable breathability helps eliminate the need of shedding or adding layers while on the move. A highly compressible fabric, it easily layers with other materials and is storable in small spaces.
