Description P38-AD is the most comfortable Acronym winter pant to date. Key to this achievement is the pairing of two state of the art fabric technologies. The outer layer is lightweight schoeller® 3XDRY® DRYSKIN™ (4-way stretch, moisture management, water repellency, abrasion resistance). While the inner face is Polartec® Alpha® Direct with Wool (active insulation, adaptive breathability, highly compressible, dimensionally stable). The result is a combination so comfortable it should be illegal. P38-AD is pornographically cozy. Add to this the impeccable mechanics of the P38 block, TensionZipǽ and Deep Pocketsǽ and you will never want to take them off. The pant also reverses so you have two different looks / levels of warmth to choose from (The extra zip pulls on the top cargo pockets are so they can be accessed when worn reversed). Polartec® Alpha® Direct is designed as insulation that can be used with or without the need for face or lining fabrics. Essentially an open mesh of high loft polyester and wool fibers, it forms an airy structure that traps heat close to the body and breathes exceptionally well. Polartec® Alpha® was originally developed for the U.S. Special Forces when they required a more advanced insulating material in their combat uniforms. This fabric is a new technology with active insulation that regulates core body temperatures during both dynamic and static activities. This latest advancement in adaptable breathability helps eliminate the need of shedding or adding layers while on the move. A highly compressible fabric, it easily layers with other materials and is storable in small spaces. A stable core of lofted knit fibers prevents fiber migration to keep a uniform consistency, even after heavy wear and repeated laundering. [ Shown in size: M.
