Description
- The N-1 jacket, adopted by the U.S. Navy for deck crew during WWII, features a simple and functional design that remains widely supported across generations. This model is based on the N-1 but uses horse suede instead of the original material. The suede is made from carefully selected thick horsehide tanned with vegetable tannins, then the flesh side is sanded to raise the fibers, creating the suede base. Afterwards, a long-lasting wax is impregnated into the leather through a time-intensive process. The wax penetrates the suede with wear and friction, developing a rich, vintage-like brown patina and texture. The lining is a smooth rayon twill, and the collar uses goatskin from the G-1 jacket, symbolizing naval pride. - Material: Vegetable Tanning Horse Suede Wax Hand Finished - Lining: Rayon Twill - Collar: Goat Skin - Fastener: MIL Specs Brass - Button: MIL Specs Urea - Label: Aviation Associates - Made in Japan - Model Wearing Size: 38 (Height 178cm / Weight 67kg)
