Description
- This jacket, known as the submariner coat, is reproduced by "Buzz Rickson's", based on vintage jackets. The "Submariner Coat" adopted for the submarine crew was already in the Uniform Regulations issued by the U.S. Navy in 1941. Made of fine wool, the coat with single herringbone close weave provides excellent protection against the cold. It features a stand collar and a relatively large chin strap. With an exterior having only two flapped patch pockets, this coat has a refined design that has gotten rid of unnecessary elements as much as possible. The simple style resembles that of the pea coat and deck jacket.
