CAMIEL FORTGENS is an Amsterdam-based clothing brand founded in 2014 by Design Academy Eindhoven graduate Camiel Fortgens. Eschewing traditional fashion training, Fortgens approaches design with a raw, unfiltered perspective, exploring archetypal garments and reimagining them with unisex cuts, unconventional materials, and unpolished details. The brand challenges conventional norms, blending classical and experimental elements to create bold yet wearable pieces, such as reinterpreted white t-shirts, tailored trousers, and avant-garde trench coats. Rooted in an ethos of authenticity and curiosity, Camiel Fortgens uses fashion as a medium to examine human nature, social behavior, and the boundaries of contemporary menswear.
