Evoking a balance between the synthetic and the natural, HOKA x J.L-A.L draws parallels to the technology and materials used to appreciate and interact with nature. The collaboration on the Tor Ultra, J.L-A.L’s biggest project to date, includes low-top and high-top variations of the shoe, inspired by the aurora borealis and hard desert landscapes, respectively. A staple hiker, the Tor Ultra is defined by HOKA’s signature Meta-Rocker geometry, which offers superior stability and a smooth toe-off. It has the comfort of a cushioned running shoe, paired with the stability of hiking footwear. Each iteration of the Tor is dressed in premium full-grain leather and textile materials on the upper to ensure long-lasting durability, with GORE-TEX full bootie construction bringing waterproof properties to the silhouette.
