Description
Our relaxed tapered cut jean in indigo/black XHS (extra heavy selvedge) 25oz denim. This ultra heavy denim is at the limit of what can be made and is not for the faint of heart. Super-stiff when new and requires some "breaking-in"- with time and wear it becomes soft, pliable and very comfy. Woven with an indigo warp (that will fade) and a reactive dyed black weft (that won't fade). Made In Japan - Designed by Shinichi Haraki, handmade by WORKS INC. in Japan 888 Relaxed Tapered Cut - Modern tapered styling with a more relaxed fit - Medium/high rise - Roomier fit in the top block and thighs - Pronounced taper from knee to hem - Classic 5-pocket design 25oz Extra Heavy Japanese Selvedge Denim (XHS) - Indigo/Black - Our heaviest of heavyweight denim! - 100% cotton - Indigo rope-dyed warp / black reactive-dyed weft - Right-hand twill weave - The warp yarns of this denim will fade naturally through wear and washing, while the fade-resistant weft will remain black Hardware & Construction - 4-button fly (extra button added due to the higher rise) - Iron Heart branded tack button at waistband - Works Inc branded pocket rivets - Hidden rivets on rear pockets - Poly/cotton stitching for increased strength - Single and double needle chain stitch construction - Belt loops anchored at three points and sewn into the waistband - Heavy cotton pocket bags and lined rear pockets Selvedge ID - Sideseam, fly, and coin pocket selvedge ID Leather Patch - Heavyweight vegetable-tanned steerhide - Natural finish - Belt-through design - Debossed Iron Heart graphic - Please note: Continued washing (especially at higher temperatures) may cause shrinkage and deformities Sanforized but Unwashed - Sanforization is a post-weave mechanical process which removes most potential shrinkage from a fabric before garment construction - However, unlike most of our jeans, we have not washed the completed garment in an industrial washing machine, so some shrinkage remains - When washed following our care guidelines, expect approximately 1" shrinkage in the waist and inseam. All other dimensions will shrink proportionately to the waist Stretch Details - Post-soak or wash, the waist will stretch out approximately 1" with wear. All other dimensions that are put under pressure will have a tendency to stretch back to pre-soak/wash size Care Guidelines - We recommend washing this garment at 30°C with a low (or no) spin cycle. Hang dry, do not tumble dry
