Juntae Kim, a Seoul-based gender-fluid label founded in 2021 by Central Saint Martins graduate Juntae Kim, reinterprets the incompatibility between historical women's silhouettes and modern men's clothing. The brand combines traditional craft techniques with contemporary methods to create gender-fluid garments that juxtapose ‘70s punk and classic tailoring. Known for carefully placed details and heavy-duty textiles, the collections feature zippers, slashes, bow appliqués, and cutouts, softening denim, nylon, and jersey. Western-style yokes, cinch straps, Cuban-heeled boots, and signature berets add to the brand’s unique stylistic vision, disrupting contemporary menswear with a bold, anachronistic approach.
