Porcelain mask in blackened metal, set with luminous glass paste eyes that capture an enigmatic, almost theatrical presence. The delicate porcelain contrasts with the darkened mount, evoking the mystery and allure of the masquerade. A striking work of craftsmanship, designed to blur the line between ornament and art object.  Sourced by Will Martindale, Classical Gem Hunter, a curator of historical jewellery pieces, based in Mayfair.
