Marin County is the birthplace of the mountain bike. Back in the early 1970s, a group of mountain bikers started riding their Klunker paperboy bikes up and down the fire protection roads in the mountains. The modernized look of a slimmed down toe and reduced collar height is combined with a supportive, cushioned midsole and New Balance’s signature ROLLBAR technology for enhanced support. Inspired by ‘70s mountain bike colors, these MT580 Sneakers were crafted with nubuck upper, overdyed Levi’s® denim on the toe box and side panels and topped off with our signature red tab.
