Description

Montblanc 1858 Split Second Chronograph Limited Edition is inspired by an early 42 mm military monopusher split second chronographs from the 1930s. This new model is housed in a 44 mm stainless steel case with a fixed white gold 750/1000 (18 karats) fluted bezel. The dial comes in a dark burgundy-tone color with sunray decoration, black chronograph counters and white luminescent Arabic numerals for an elegant look. Providing readability and vintage style, this dial is enhanced with vintage shaped hour, minute and seconds hands, a central split-second hand and a 30-minute chronograph counter. Like on the original timepiece, a tachymeter scale (base 1000) runs around the dial. The case back reveals the Manufacture hand-finished manually wound, monopusher, split second chronograph calibre MB M16.31 that allows the user to measure intermediate times without interrupting the ongoing measurement of a longer elapsed time. The timepiece is completed with a dark burgundy-tone colored interchangeable calf leather strap with alligator print and a stainless steel triple-folding clasp with fine adjustment system.
