Description

Reminiscent of the iconic Cameraman Parka, the Halftex Deck Jacket draws inspiration from the classic naval deck jackets worn by sailors in the US Navy, designed to keep the sailors warm while on watch in the cold winds of the open ocean. The upper part is taken from Rain Parkas used in the 1940s, adopting the oversized hood and rain flap placket. This upper is crafted from Halftex fabric, an original Cabourn innovative material that looks like cotton but is half the weight, making for a lightweight garment. The bottom of the garment features oversized patch pockets which were only found on a small number of US Navy garments in the 40s.
