Also available in RAF Blue Based on the headwear worn in WW2 by mechanics and flight crew in the US Air Force, the Mechanics Cap is a hardwearing baseball cap. Although these caps were intended as a functional means to keep the sun out of mechanics' eyes whilst preparing aircraft for take-off, their use quickly extended to other parts of the Air Force due to their practical nature.
