This is Nigel Cabourn's Limited Edition 5 collection, which follows the success of four prior Limited Edition collections from 2003, 2009, 2012 and 2018. Each style is named after a mountaineer involved in George Mallory and Andrew Irvine's 1924 Expedition, The Tragedy of Everest. As with other such collections, stock is truly limited. A true piece of British history, the Irvine Jacket is inspired by the apparel worn in the Everest expedition of 1924, specifically the jackets worn Andrew ‘Sandy’ Irvine, the youngest member of the expedition. Made in England with a Prince of Wales pure wool Fox Brothers Flannel, boasting true English craftsmanship with Corozo buttons and notched lapels. This garment comes with a complimentary copy of our exclusive LE5 "Tragedy of Everest" book.
