Also available in Tan ‘Tanker’ jackets were used by the US Military in WW2 and were originally designed to combat winter weather conditions across all Army divisions, but were more commonly issued to armoured troops - hence the nickname. The ‘tanker’ has provided inspiration for our Tank Jacket this season, a quilt-lined, cold-weather-ready piece with a thick ribbed collar and cuffs.
