Description
Hooded jacket in nylon ripstop that changes color based on the temperature, laminated with an aluminum film for enhanced thermal insulation, featuring ventilation flaps and two-way zipper. FABRIC RESEARCH AND TREATMENT Hooded jacket made from a nylon micro ripstop, externally resin-coated with a special pigment that changes color based on the temperature, and laminated on the inside with an aluminum film. The heat-reactive pigment molecules in the resin alter the passage of light and shift in tone in response to heat, becoming lighter as the temperature rises and returning to darker tones as it drops. The aluminum lamination lends structure to the nylon, enhancing the thermal insulation properties of the garment, and lending a slightly three-dimensional, textured appearance to the surface. STYLE AND FIT Shaped hood with visor and elasticated drawcord at contour and crown. Front yoke with flaps. Vertical zipper flaps that open onto vertical mesh-lined chest pockets, fastened on the bottom with two snaps, over bellows hand pockets. Open armholes. Ventilation flaps on back with mesh lining. Paneled sleeve construction. Stone Island badge on left sleeve. Adjustable cuffs with flap and hook-and-loop fastening. Two-way zipper fastening under snap placket with two smaller snaps at collar.
