FABRIC RESEARCH AND TREATMENT LIGHT REACTING ‘LUCE’ PRINT TECHNIQUE: Bermuda shorts in stretch cotton ‘parachute’ canvas. The piece is printed using the Stone Island iconic ‘Luce’ technique. The garments are soaked in a special light sensitive bath in a dark room. They are then individually exposed to vivid light, with specially designed calotypes in between, so as to create 'photographic' patterns and designs on the garment surface. The special feature of this technique is the impalpable feel of the print. The pieces are then dried and over dyed. COMPOSITION 97% Cotton 3% Elastane / Spandex
