The yarn is spun on the Ishikawadai ring spinning machine, Japan’s oldest operating spinner. The resulting hanging-knit fleece is then dyed with Bengala, giving the fabric a natural, beautifully uneven look characteristic of traditional dyes. The hanging knitting machine works slowly and gently, applying minimal tension to preserve the cotton’s original texture.
