The classic Sunspel boxer with a summer print by the British artist David Shrigley. In 1947 when Sunspel introduced the boxer short to Britain, we also perfected its design. With just a few minor tweaks, we still produce boxer shorts to our original specifications. The seams are double-turned and feldlocked to avoid rough edges. The rear has a distinctive back panel instead of an uncomfortable central seam. And each pair is cut from 100% long staple fine cotton for unmatched lightness, softness and breathability. David Shrigley OBE is known for his witty, deadpan drawings and paintings. For a new summer capsule collection to mark the 75th anniversary of our move into our Long Eaton factory, he reworked a vintage Sunspel logo into a set of illustrations in his characteristically quirky, contemporary style.
