Founded in 2016 by Alexia Elkaim, Miaou began with a single pair of Parisian-inspired denim, designed to solve the universal struggle of finding the perfect fit. Raised between Paris and Los Angeles, Elkaim infused the brand with retro-romantic charm, drawing from vintage finds and mid-century French and 90s supermodel aesthetics. Initially celebrated for its body-hugging jeans, Miaou has since evolved into a full womenswear label, offering tailored trousers, bustier blouses, mini dresses, and fitted blazers. With a focus on empowering the “femme” gaze, the brand also features a sportswear line inspired by the playful logomania of 80s and 90s athletics.
