Chloé has designed an exclusive capsule collection in celebration of the Lunar New Year of the dragon. Crafted in a compact, round hamper shape for an easy summer attitude, this Woody small hamper is handwoven by independent craftswomen in Kenya. This version features a pink calfskin handle and a linen Chloé logo showcasing a leather magnolia flower in celebration of the Lunar New Year. The magnolia flower symbolizes purity, nobility and femininity in the Chinese culture. The Mandarin name for magnolia is Mulan, like the famous female warrior in Chinese legend. The hamper has a drawstring fastening and a long leather strap for shoulder and cross-body wear. This hamper was made in partnership with Mifuko, a certified WFTO supplier. In Swahili, “mifuko” means pocket. With fair pay and less dependence on unpredictable farming as a source of income, Mifuko empowers its artisans in Kenya and ensures no one is left with empty pockets. All about Woody...
