Radical conceptual designer Martin Margiela founded his eponymous couture house in 1988 and quickly established himself at the forefront of the Belgian fashion avant-garde. Today the label is run by Glenn Martens, who has maintained the brand’s intellectual blend of conceptualism and luxury. The Glam Slam trapezoid bag is crafted from embroidered satin. The Glam Slam debuted in the SS18 show and has a quilted design which mimics matelasse – the style of hand-stitched quilts created in Marseilles, France. The concept reflects the Maison’s notion of unconscious glamour and evokes its association to comfort, following the study into dressing and traveling rituals worldwide. This style features a detachable shoulder strap, and is adorned with the numeric logo label on the zip pull.
