Trompe l'oeil skirt
Description
The layered poly twill skirt is slashed to reveal the lining, creating a peplum silhouette. The heritage trompe l'oeil print gives the impression of a pinstripe suit fabric, which morphs into the plain lower – as if a printer has run out of ink for a degraded look. The work-in-progress stitches are present around the back zip. Maison Margiela’s signature, the Four stitches, appear at the back; the opposite of a label.
