Miu Miu reinterprets the iconic loafer in an ultra-feminine, glamorous and irreverent version. The tapered lines and distinct character are paired with classic details. In the 1950s, loafers were part of the uniform of American prep school and college students. Students against wearing the required attire started inserting a one cent coin in the slot of the band, which led to it being called the Penny Loafer.
