Japanese bag in denim with patch featuring the 6 in snake artwork – a hand-drawn design inspired by the mythological ouroboros, representing many things such as the cycle of life. First introduced as part of the Autumn-Winter 2009 collection, the Japanese bag has since become MM6’s most emblematic accessory. Its distinctive triangular silhouette is inspired by the Japanese art of paper folding, origami. The buttons at its edges allow for the bag to change form through folding, evoking the Maison’s deconstructionist design codes. Each season, the Japanese bag is reinterpreted in additional sizes and a variety of innovative fabrics, rendering the accessory timeless.
