Introduced in the 1970s, Azuma knitting machines were among the first to replace Tsuri-Ami loopwheel machines in Japan. While faster than traditional loopwheelers, they still operate at an extremely slow pace, producing only one to two bolts of fabric per day; resulting in a soft, dense knit with a lofty texture. This BEAMS PLUS crew neck sweatshirt is made in Japan using heavyweight Azuma-knit fleece with a brushed interior for warmth and comfort.
