Having undertaken some new design and brand development over the past couple of seasons, Full Count are back with their latest collection blending timeless design with some unique and classic twists. This new style falls under their recently launched 'Super Smooth' series, something we were particularly excited about when we visited Japan a few years ago. Known for their superior comfort and ease of wear, we fully expect these 'Super Smooths' to take the crown in the comfort stakes. The S2107SSW WWII Denim Jacket from Full Count is inspired by those manufactured in the early-mid 1940s. Cut in Japan from Full Count's newly launched 11.5 oz denim, the S2107SSW faithfully reproduces the details of wartime models. It features newly produced iron donut buttons with an arabesque pattern, unmarked punch-through rivets, and carefully measured front pleat stitching, as well as a four button front and open single chest pocket w/exposed copper rivets. This version also carries the WWII-style “S” prefix in front of the model number, nodding to its historical roots. Unlike the rough, uneven stitching often found on vintage pieces, this jacket is sewn with precise, strong thread tension to emphasise natural puckering. Stitching is finished in a yellow-tone gradation for added authenticity. The jacket is slightly shorter than standard, with a 1 cm reduction in length, and sizes 44 and 46 feature a T-back specification as a further nod to vintage examples.
