Funset of Art SS13 Boro Patch Baum Vest in blue / white, men's size M. Funset of Art is a brand created by one of the original ex-members of Kapital Kountry. Funset of Art takes mottainai, a feeling of deep regret towards wastefulness, to the extreme. The idea behind mottainai is that objects should be treated with the utmost importance. One way to accomplish this is by repairing and reusing them. In ancient times, out of this process of fixing and repurposing materials came the craft of quilting. Quilting is the art of using overlapping cloth in order to reinforce it. By layering frayed parts of material and quilting them together, they became more durable and took on a renewed importance. Many of Funset of Art's pieces feature meticulous sashiko and boro. A patchwork of denim, hickory, and indigo materials. It is a slightly A-line silhouette that spreads toward the hem, so you can close all the buttons on the front as it is, or you can fasten only the upper part and enjoy the silhouette with a spread. When opening the front, you can fold back the top and fasten it with a button. The waist can be adjusted slightly with buttons on both sides.
