Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2007 Mohair Spider Webbed Open Knit Sweater Dress Sz:S To one of the greatest designers of all time, featuring one of my favourite items in the archive, a 2007 fall runway knit dress with an centrepiece embroidery of “The Storm( La Tempête)“. It appears this piece has been derived from gaultier’s ss07 Haute Couture Angel’s Collection, with embroidery pieces featured all over a single dress, so know that this piece practically has the craftsmanship of a haute couture piece, This piece has been hailed as one of the most iconic pieces of gaultier’s designs and one hell of a collector’s piece. Constructed with a blend of wool and mohair, the dress is very soft and light, with red accents and a literal spiderweb on the back. The turtleneck can be extended into a mask as shown on the runway. Sleeves are slightly flared, the dress itself is actually asymmetrical, with the left side slightly shorter than the right.
