Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme Collection: Archive (from 1984 to 1991) Composition: Wool (100%) Made in Japan. This archival oversized knit comes from one of the very early seasons of Yohji Yamamoto's Pour Homme collection. It can be dated between Spring/Summer 1984 and Autumn/Winter 1991 based on the specific curvature in the signature on the label, among other indicators. It features a three-button front with an additional under-collar button (collar stand button) and corresponding opposite loop which allows the collar to be closed, reshaped, and worn either up or down. Similar collars can be found on garments from seasons such as Autumn/Winter 1986-1987, for example. The hems are ribbed, the arms are set in with angular seams, and the knit itself has a complex and deep multifaceted colour that displays across a range from burgundy to dark purple depending on the light. It is in exceptional condition for a garment of this vintage.
