The newest Cloudstatus has removed all TPU and plastic overlays to be more eco-friendly and give it a sleeker look. An improved heel collar increases the comfort level both when you first step into the shoe as well as during your run. Our runners noticed it went up a little higher than usual in our On Cloudstratus 3 review. - Midsole: a combination of Helion™ Superfoam with a double layer of CloudTec and a Speedboard®. The Speedboard® is made of a nylon blend that maximizes your energy return and rolls you forward. The Helion™ Superfoam has been re-engineered to make it softer, especially when connected with the double layer of CloudTec technology that disperses your impact and provides cushioned landings. - Outsole: an updated rubber grip compound provides even more traction on the road. Designers reworked the base geometry to prevent rocks from collecting in the shoe.
