The Air Max 95 LE DB 'Doernbecher' from 2007 was reissued in 2013 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Doernbecher Freestyle program. Designed by Mike Armstrong, who had surgery to replace a valve in his heart, the shoe features a Captain America theme, inspired in part by his brother in the military. Individual touches throughout include the words 'Pain,' 'Surgery' and 'Hunger,' while the midsole includes the usual visible Air in the forefoot and heel.
