Description
First issued just after WWII, the G-1 is the longest lasting U.S. Navy flight jacket. While the materials have changed, the G-1 is known for its wool collar, leather body, two flap waist pockets, and cuff and waist ribbing. This version is based off the A. Pritzker & Sons fulfillment of spec. 55-J-14, between 1948 and 1951. Made of a vegetable tanned goat skin, the collar is a shearling sheep mouton with the ribbing also made of 100% wool.
