Description
JLB's Desert Boot is based on a shoe issued to British and South African soldiers in Cairo in WWII. The boots became popular stateside in the 50's, and were a staple of "mod" fashion in the UK from the 1960s through the 1980s. The desert boot endures as an icon today, due to its comfort and easy styling. For their version, JLB took no shortcuts. Just comfortable as the original, the Lofgren version of the boot is notably sturdier and heavier due to its robust construction. The suede leather of the upper and the crepe sole are sourced from Japan, and the upper, lining, sole, and insole are all masterfully stitched together.
