Released in June 2019, the Nike Air Max 90 'Be True' recognizes the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising and pays homage to Gilbert Baker, an LGBTQIA+ rights activist and designer of the rainbow flag. This special edition arrives in mesh and leather, with the eight-color spectrum seen across the synthetic eyestays, embroidered Swooshes and other branding notes. Insole graphics represent the meanings from the original 1978 flag. The classic Air Max 90 midsole houses a visible Air unit, with a rubber waffle outsole rounding out the look.
