The Social Status x Nike Air Penny 2 ‘Playground’ presents the follow-up to the retailer’s Air Max Penny 1 collaboration from July 2022. Dropping alongside a counterpart pair in ‘Sail,’ this ‘Black’ edition honors Penny Hardaway with color blocking reminiscent of the OG Orlando-inspired release from 1996. The mid-top sports a black nubuck upper with contrasting powder blue accents on the molded eyelets and textile collar lining. Penny’s jeweled 1 Cent logo decorates the tongue, while a reflective pod on the lateral collar displays dual Swoosh and Social Status branding. A lightweight Phylon midsole is fitted with forefoot Zoom Air cushioning and a Max Air heel unit in bubblegum pink. The shoe arrives in special packaging inspired by a Lil Penny toy.
