- Based on a 1950s TOWNCRAFT box-shaped sports shirt, this fabric was recreated by replacing the original wool with cotton. The material is woven with four warp colors and four weft colors, including heathered yarns, with a dobby weave expressing dashed-line checks. The silhouette follows a work shirt design with two flap pockets. Notable details include a curved back yoke—later omitted in the pursuit of production efficiency—and gussets at the side seams for reinforcement.
