Description
This sturdy wool jacket was originally used to protect men from the harsh conditions while traveling across the cold Atlantic ocean. The presence of this jacket attracts attention without being overtly flashy. Marked by its double-breasted silhouette and two rows of pronounced admiral style anchor buttons, “The Mallet” Peacoat commands respect as it braves the elements. We used a rugged yet soft 21oz Melton wool with 10% Nylon for added durability. Many peacoats feature 10 buttons but we opted for 8 to lend a more refined look. We also lowered the hand warmer pockets of ease of use and a more natural stance. The collar and cuffs are fitted with an adjuster strap, to help keep out wind and rain in harsh conditions. We refined the cut of the standard peacoat to have a slightly slimmer silhouette, adding a dash of elegance to this handsome coat. After careful consideration, we chose a length that gives you plenty of coverage but is not too long. Fit & Size Model is 5'11" and wearing size M.
