Description
This round-neck, long-sleeved top is printed with photographs of trash bins in the streets of Paris, captured using a film camera. Inspired by the beauty found in the colors of trash bins casually placed amid the city's historic streetscapes, the design seeks to elevate the negative image of trash bins into something positive by abstracting their colors. A special transfer system was used to create a poster-like texture that brings out the patterns in the photographs. The fabric is woven from thick Japanese Washi paper and cotton threads, resulting in a sturdy fabric that is not sheer even in light colors. Thanks to the stretchiness of the Washi-blend fabric, the top offers a comfortable, body-hugging fit despite the tight silhouette.
