AKRIS Black Silk Satin and Latte-Colored Tulle Evening Dress NWOT SZ SM What a great color combination in this eye-catching evening dress from the Swiss luxury designer, Akris. It has a black satin bodice and wide tan or latte-colored straps (depending on how much milk you use). But the brilliant star of the dress is the skirt! The top layer is the same tulle as the straps, and the black stripes are the same satin fabric as the bodice. Under the top layer of the skirt is a second layer of tulle, two layers of a lightweight organza, and a fifth layer of silk crepe. Inside the bodice is a separate soft corset with light boning, foam cups, and its own zipper. The dress closes with its own back zipper. Although the dress is labeled 100% silk, I question whether the tulle is silk; tulle is usually nylon (polyamide) or polyester. Now for the size: You can see that the dress, which is labeled US size 6, does not zip up completely on our mannequin. The mannequin is a size 4-ish and measures 33 inches around the largest part of her bust (granted she's solid and doesn't squish). The dress's bodice measures 32 inches around the very top but is made with a little extra space at the actual bustline, which is a somewhat lower. The waist measures exactly like a size 6.
