This black and green brocade coat from Charles Chang-Lima is a edgy couture design with an unexpected twist: The backside of the brocade is on the outside of the coat and has been deliberately distressed, giving the coat a shaggy appearance, while the usual "front" of the brocade fabric is on the inside of the coat. There are drawstrings on the back of the coat and at the cuffs to customize its fit and appearance. The inside front edges and the waist are trimmed/reinforced with black grosgrain ribbon, and there are a large patch pockets on each hip. The coat hangs open with no closures, like a duster or topper. Pieces of this caliber from the high-end Charles Chang-Lima label that closed in 2009 as a result of the recession are extremely rare. MEASUREMENTS - Raglan sleeves do not have shoulder seams, so width is variable. - Chest is 40" - Waist is 40" - Sleeve length is about 24" including a 2-inch cuff. - Length is 42" down center back. CONDITION Excellent unworn condition with no apparent flaws. Retains designers hang tag.
