Vintage Red & White Floral Silk Dress w Puffed Sleeves
Description
This charming 1980s day dress from Valentino features a red silk shell with a vivid white floral print and a red applique bow at the neck. It has a crew neck, short puffed sleeves with knit cuffs (they can be pushed up more than shown here for a puffier look), hidden on-seam pockets, and large shoulder pads. The dress has a defined waist and closes with a zipper up to the waist and hidden red buttons from the waist to the neck. Apparel from this period do not have attached fabric labels, but the shell fabric of this dress is undoubtedly 100% silk. The top is lined in what appears to be white silk chiffon, and the skirt is lined in a white fabric that is probably also silk. Surprisingly, this dress does have a size 6 label. The waist measures a little small for a modern size 6, so we're putting the dress in the Small range, or 4-6. To avoid returns, do not rely only on the size label or estimated size to determine fit. Always compare the actual measurements with those of a similar garment(s) that fits you. MEASUREMENTS - Shoulder width is 15" - Underarm chest measurement is 37" - Waist is 26.5" - Hips measure 38" - Length is 37" down center back. CONDITION Excellent condition with no apparent flaws.
