general research 1996 FISHING CARGO POCKET black JACKET

Description
IG: guerrero_sto GR 1996 cargo bomber General Research started as a broad idea, with the objective to focus on specific subject matter as the brand developed. This focus came later, with the creation of Naval Research, Prisoner Suit Research, Military Wear Research and Mountain Research (among others). This broad approach resulted in the exploration of a wide arrange of styles and materials in the early years which led to a focus on technical, outdoors oriented-wear in later years. This early experimentation led to different styles in early collections ranging from punk-influenced garments and to practicality-driven designs and other staples in the brand, such as the varsity jackets and the motorcycle pants. The 1996 Cargo Jacket is one of the earliest iterations of the many cargo Jackets developed by General Research and Mountain Research. The Cargo jacket was first featured in 1995 (second last picture). The early version featured a detachable hoodie, a patch in the right pocket and zippers in the cuffs. The 1996 model was updated with neoprene cuffs and collar, featuring a velcro closure, which allows increased adjustability. This closure mechanism leads to a very interesting and practical design. This jacket also features belt loops at the waist (I am unsure whether the belt was included with the jacket). Both the belt (seen on the 1995 model) and the neoprene were featured in other items in this collection. A similar jacket was also featured in Mountain Research' 2017 collection (last picture) Size M: fits tts, a little boxy Condition: 9/10 Check out my other items!
