IG: Guerrerp_sto Number Nine SS02 I Love Gotham Hat One of the most iconic NN motifs is their reiteration of New York tourist t-shirts. Referencing Jon Lennon's iconic New York photoshoot, Takahiro's take on New York tourist tees offers an interesting association. Instead of using New York, Takahiro uses Gotham, a grimy, crime-ridden, fictional city from the Batman universe. By connecting New York, Music, and Gotham, Takahiro is not only able to successfully express his aesthetic, but he simultaneously recognizes the music scene and fashion as something we can shape, and something that is there just for our enjoyment. Along with the classic fonts (last 2 pictures), the "I <3 New York" design was reiterated with a Gotham theme. These designs were also reiterated by other Japanese brands of the time, like Bape and Undercover. Size: one size adjustable Condition: 9/10 check out my other items!
