worn and washed, condition as pictured stains, discoloration(s), fading, piling nike 6.0 was nike’s “action sports” sub-label from 2005-2011. mostly aimed at the BMX market. it turned out to be the loud, alternative stepbrother of NiKE SB. ill-fated and woefully neglected, like a kid with a hard life and a broken home, the type of kid that’s into indie music and action sports, nike 6.0 never seemed destined for success. the avant garde use of materials, constantly paired with abstract, often obnoxious, color blocking gives its short 6 year run an iconically dated aesthetic. if you are obsessed with the memory and preservation of the DEFUNCT, the way that I am, nike 6.0 scratches a special kind of itch.
