Another leather from the reknowned tannery in the UK, Charles F. Steadin. This tyime around Viberg chose a waxy commander. This one is a heavily waxed suede or what is sometimes referred to as the flesh out leather. This is where the natural texture of the reverse side of the hide is treated with a rich blend of oils and waxes. Giving is that durable waxy finish. The unique tanning process essentially shrinks the fibers by up to 25%, creating a very tight, resilient material that is considered waterproof and "all-weather". Now, with that being said, take this with a grain of salt for downpours and Canadian winters! With that being said, this is a beautiful leather that will patina beautifully over time. Some areas will darken, otehr will lighten, regardless of each, this structure will always be strong and resilient! DETAILS - C.F.
