Description
The Ronnie Fieg x ASICS Gel-Lyte V “Cove” is a collaboration between the New York City based sneaker designer and ASICS from 2014. Adjoining the “Mint Leaf” colorway released alongside it, this “Cove” design also appeared on the Gel-Lyte 3 prior its transformation onto the Gel-Lyte 5. Like all of the collaborations between Fieg, Kith, and ASICS, the “Cove” is marked by its use of premium materials and attention to detail. The upper features a supple light blue dotted pigskin leather construction with perforations for constant airflow to the foot. The ASICS stripes found on the mid-panel displays contrasting white accenting that breaks up the monochromatic look. Tonal “Gel-Lyte V” detailing can be found on the tonal nubuck overlay between the mid-panel and collar. Additional branding appears in the form of embroidered “ASICS” detailing on the heel and tongue. Release date: April 5, 2014. <br>
