The Nike Air Max 97 “Koi Fish” is a colorway of the classic running shoe that celebrates the Koi fish, also known as the Nishikigoi. The Air Max 97 debuted in 1997 and has since become one of the most popular lifestyle shoes in footwear. On the “Koi Fish” colorway, Nike gives the shoe a makeover dedicated to fish known as Nishikigoi in Japan. The design features a white mesh base with tonal wavy leather overlays. A wheat-colored suede mudguard contrasts the appearance of the shoe. Special scale details are found around the white Swoosh branding on the sides above the white foam midsole.
