The Social Status x Nike Air Max Penny 1 “Recess - Black” is one of two colorways of Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway’s former signature shoe designed by the sneaker and streetwear boutique, released in July 2022. Inspired by the Air Max Penny 1’s original “Magic” colorway, the “Recess Black” stays mostly true to the model’s retro design while adding several modern details, as well. The upper features a black nubuck base with white detailing on the lateral side panels. “Social Status” branding is found on the heel, and interchangeable Swooshes appear on either side of the shoe, each of which represents a different sport, including basketball, baseball, football, tennis, and golf. Extra sets of laces representing each sport are included, as well. Release date: July 15, 2022
