Rare! 1980s - Issey Miyake- Survival Belted Vest

Up for sale is an insane piece from Issey Miyake’s IS which was designed by Tsumori Chisato in the 1980s. IS stands for Issey Sports. In 1977, Tsumori Chisato was assigned to design on this department. Size 7 on tag but best fit Medium mens. The length is like a slight cropped vest. That style was very 1980s where it is a boxy fit. Survival vest because the whole pocket can cover all the body area. You can put filling, polyester or just things you want. Thats the reason why the trims are gusseted. Garterized on the hem, so it can stretch. Ykk zippers The most unique part of it is the saying on the back “ This vest IS a coat”, where “is” was highlighted as I.S. I don’t exactly know the wisdom because the saying because this piece is nowhere to be found in google. Its like 1 of 1 in grailed. Aside from the fact that IS products were produced in the mid 1980s to early 1990s, this piece is almost non existent. The vest also has a belt. It think the purpose of the best is to hold the vest when you put heavy things on it. In excellent condition. Almost good as new. Made in Japan. Please check the measurements because the size tags may differ from the actual measurements and fit.
